When Hannah first laid eyes on her newly purchased old house, she didn’t envision a fixer-upper, but an opportunity to build her dream home. With a clear vision in mind—an open space with high ceilings and abundant natural light—she turned to Webb & Brown-Neaves to bring this dream to life.
“The intention was always to knock the old house down and rebuild,” Hannah shared. With the guidance of our expert team, she embarked on a journey to create a home that was uniquely hers from start to finish.
During the design process, we at WB made sure Hannah’s personal style shone through. With access to the latest colour and design trends, Hannah seamlessly navigated her choices with personalised guidance from our team. “Through my selections, I chose a lot of those curved silhouettes with the arches, the curved wall, the rounded mirrors,” she shared.
Hannah’s design style is a harmonious blend of classic elegance and contemporary touches, which she describes as Modern Mediterranean. “The style that I went for was Modern Mediterranean. I feel like that’s quite timeless,” she explained. Her home features arches, open spaces, earthy tones, and natural materials, creating a warm and elegant look.
The kitchen, the heart of the home, was a focal point in Hannah’s design. “My number one was an island bench. I’ve never had an island bench in a kitchen before, but I loved the idea that it was great for entertaining and for prepping meals,” she explained. Her family is equally excited about the new space, looking forward to many dinners and gatherings.
Hannah aimed for a sleek, minimalist look in her kitchen, opting for handle-less cabinetry that harmonised beautifully with her tiling choice. She particularly enjoyed the “kit-kat” style of tiling, which she incorporated into the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry areas. The predominantly white kitchen was given a contemporary flair with brass gold tapware, adding a “great pop to the kitchen, especially being all white. It really complemented the overall style for the house,” Hannah noted.
From demolishing the old house to building her dream home, Hannah’s journey with WB is a testament to what can be achieved when vision meets expertise. Her home stands as a beautiful, timeless sanctuary, a perfect blend of modernity and classic elegance.
