On Friday 7 November, ABN Group Directors Dale Alcock and Garry Brown-Neaves were awarded the Master Builders Association 2008 Robert Law Award for outstanding contribution to the residential building industry in Western Australia.

This award was established in 1998 during MBA‘s centennial year in honour of their first President. The Robert Law Award is given to an individual or organisation who, in the opinion of MBA‘s Executive Committee, has made a significant contribution to the building and construction industry in Western Australia.

Gavan Forster, Director of Housing at MBA, spoke about Dale and Garry‘s contribution to the industry and the reasoning behind MBA‘s choice for this award, which included:

• Support of industry training and promoting careers in the building industry
• Generous contributions to industry associations and consultative forums

• Advocating home ownership and affordable housing
• Commitment to giving back to the community
